Synopsis[]
Now that Senkaku has been defeated and both Sōjirō and Shishio have withdrawn and fleed, Shingetsu Village is now free from Shishio's gasp. Even though Mishima Eiji still wants to take revenge from Senkaku, everyone calm him down. What will be Senkaku's fate now that he has been aprehended? And what will Eiji do now that he has lost all his family?

- There are several real historical facts mentioned in this episode:
- Saitō explains that it's illegal to kill on vengance basis, beacuse it was prohibited in 1873.
- Shishio tells Sōjirō he gave him a Nagasone Kotetsu katana. That is a real katana brand forged in the 17th century in Japan.
- The historical Saitō Hajime was married to Saitō Tokio.
