Synopsis[]
As the Kenshingumi go their own paths within Kyoto to solve the mystery of who has been threatening violent assassinations on local politicians and sent Misao into a coma, Kenshin has sought again his master, Hiko Seijuro XIII, while Sanosuke has left the city for his peace of mind. Journeying about the countryside, he eventually notices meek people who gather in secret and express a secret faith with such spirit among a mysterious maiden who leads them in their prayer. Little does Sanosuke know, the mysteries behind her come the time "when day becomes darkness" shall be revealed! When the truth comes together, where shall all these mysteries lead the Kenshingumi next?
Plot[]
Nishida Hyōei reveals to Himura Kenshin that his nephew Amakusa Shōgo was behind the recent killings of selected Meiji Government officials and that the young warrior was also responsible for leaving him in a blinded state.
