Genbu (
Appearance[]
Genbu is a large man, with a bold head and sharp teeth. On Genbu's forehead is the kanji for genbu and hexagon of each side of his head.
Personality[]
Genbu may look like a big oaf but is intelligent enough, and specializes, in quickly coming up with battle strategies, while in combat. Genbu enjoys fight younger opponents since he finds it most enjoyable to deprive them of their future.

- Woo Heishin - Genbu is one of Woo Heishin's bodyguards and protects him from all threats.
- Su Shen - Genbu is a member of the Su Shen, a group of four that act as Woo Heishin's bodyguards.

Genbu is equipped with the Black Tortoise Snake Pole, is a retractable six-jointed mace and can transform into a staff.
History[]
Jinchu Arc[]
Genbu arrives at the island that Enishi and Kaoru are at, with his boss (Woo Heishin) and the rest of the Su Shen. Genbu spends most of his time on the island guarding his boss with the rest of the Su Shen.
Days later when Kenshin and the rest arrive on the island, Heishin and the Su shen are force to leave by the Enishi instead of saying to fight. As they are leaving, the Su shen wonder why they are leave which Heishin says that the Su shen won't be able to defeat the current Enishi. Heishin also says that the only way off the island is through the cove that Kenshin's group is at, and that they will show Enishi their gratitude for give him the organization by defeating his enemy which the Su Shen are glad to hear.
Once they arrive at the cove, the Su Shen smile when Heishin comments about how they will be fight them. When Heishin feels that he has been insulted by Kenshin's friends, Heishin orders the Su Shen to attack. The Su Shen jump high in the air and land to face their respected targets. Genbu pulls out his Black Tortoise Snake Pole, and attacks Yahiko with it. As the other Su Shen are defeated and Woo Heishin wonders why this is happening, Genbu says that he will file in the area the other lack with all his might. Woo Heishin says that Gembu is the most embarrassing of them all. Genbu introduces him as the one that specializes in battle strategy, and says that Yahiko is setting up for a big move and wants to see it.
As Yahiko goes to attack, Genbu spits his weapon and stops Yahiko's attack. Genbu explains what his weapon is and how his attack is useless against it. As Yahiko gets back up, Genbu compliments the look in Yahiko's eye and attacks. Yahiko manages to dodge it, which Genbu starts to comments about why he fights. Genbu reassamble his staff and attacks, but when Yahiko tries to use the Hadome technique, Genbu separates the staff and launches Yahiko into the air. Genbu reassembles his staff and stabs Yahiko in the air, while also slamming him into the ground.
Genbu thinks that Yahiko is finished, but Yahiko gets back up and attacks. Genbu is shocked by this but manages to block the attack. The two back away from each other, which Genbu wonder why Yahiko was able to get back up. Yahiko explains why he is getting back up and that he will take him down with Kamiya Kasshin-ryu secret move, which Genbu calls Yahiko a fool. Yahiko says that Genbu is the fool since secret move can't be easily defeated, which Genbu just thinks about how his opponent is just a kid that is wounded. Genbu then attacks and when he is about to split the staff apart, Yahiko locks the staff in place by driving the hilt of his shinai through the end tip of the staff. Yahiko give Genbu a time limit to decide what to do, which Genbu can only think about how his opponent is a kid. As time runs out, Yahiko uses Hawatari to destroy Genbu's staff and defeats Genbu. After the fighting is over, Genbu along with the rest are arrested by the police.
