Kiriji is an adjutant of Shinko-ryū under the command of Isurugi Raijūta.
Appearance[]
Kiriji is a short man with spiky black hair, long eyebrows, pointy nose, and pointy chin.
Kiriji wears a straw hat with diamond shaped holes to see through, a white shirt over a black long sleeves shirt, white pants, black toes less shoes, and carries a sword on his lower back.
Personality[]
Kiriji is a loyal member of the Shinko-ryū, and willing followed Raijūta's order to try to get Kenshin to join them or to kill him if they fail. Kiriji is also coward, and quickly fled when most of his comrades were defeated.

Kiriji is a trained swordsman, but was no match for Kenshin, even with it being four on one.
History[]
Tokyo Arc[]
Kiriji is one of the four swordsmen dispatched to attack Himura Kenshin at the Kamiya Dōjō with an ultimatum: join their band or die. When his comrades Tsukiō, Tsuruzaemon and Sakuramaru were all defeated by Himura's superior skills, the frightened Kiriji attempted to flee, but was halted by the sudden appearance of Sagara Sanosuke. However, Himura allowed Kiriji to leave unharmed so as to deliver news of the fight back to his master.
