Kurojō (黒尉), also known as Kuro, is member of Oniwabanshū onimitsu ninja group.
Appearance[]
Kurojō is a large muscular man with a shaved head, thin arced eyebrows, eyes that are allows closed, round nose, and a wide jaw.
Kurojō wears a white Hachimaki around his head, a blue shirt with a lite blue trim, a white apron, blue pants, and sandals.
Kurojō's Oniwanbanshu outfit consist of a black sleeveless shirt with white trims, black pants, a white sash around his waist, a white headband, and metal boots and arm guards.
Personality[]
Kurojō cares about Misao's well being, and didn't want to tell Misao about Okina going to fight with Aoshi.
Relationships[]
- Makimachi Misao: Kurojō is one of Misao's caretakers. Kurojō also cares deeply for Misao, and was glad when she has returned home.
- Shiro, Omasu, and Ochika: Kurojō is the three's fellow comrade, and also their coworker at the inn.
- Okina: Kurojō works for Okina at the inn, and as a member of the Oniwanbanshu.
Abilities[]
Kurojō is a skilled member of the Oniwanban. In battle, Kurojō is seen to wield a huge bo staff and bracer like gauntlets that can be thrown like shuriken.
History[]
Kyoto Arc[]
When Misao returns home, Kurojō, along with the others, greeted her. The next day, Kurojō give Okina a message about Arai Shakku's death. Days later, when Shishio sends the Owl Clan to attack them, Kurojō and the others, manages to easily defeat them. The next day, Kurojō is fix the damaged floor, when Misao comes in, asking about Okina. When Misao found out that they were attack last night and that Okina had left with his Tonfas, Kurojō and Ochika most likely told her were Okina went. Kurojō and Ochika then watch as Misao heads off. Kurojō asks if this is alright, which Ochika replies that she had to let Misao do everything she can. Later, Kuroji meets with Kaoru and Yahiko, and inform them about Misao, Okina, and Aoshi. Suddenly Aoshi arrives and figures that Okina has been defeated, and wonders what they should do. Kurojō then watches and Yahiko and Kaoru confront Aoshi and explains what Kenshin is doing and how Aoshi would be able to defeat Kenshin.
Later, Kurojō is out the the room that Misao is watching over an unconscious Okina, with the others. After reading the letter Okina left her and starts to change into her Oniwanbanshu outfit, Kurojō, along with Shira and Yahiko, are forced to look the other way while this is happening. Kurojō is then shocked when Misao proclaims that she is the new leader and that she will defeat Aoshi.
Days later, Kurojō and everyone gather to read the letter that Kenshin had sent them. Kurojō, Omasu, Shira, and Ochika then change into their Oniwanbanshu outfits and head out to stop Shishio's plan. Kurojō then heads out and stops Shishio's men from lighting Kyoto on fire. After they stop Shishio's men, Kurojō head back to the inn.
The next day, Kurojō, Shira, and Ochika bring everyone to Okina when Okina wakes up. Kurojō then listens as Okina says that they have to kill Aoshi, but is relieved when Kenshin says that they can still bring back Aoshi. Suddenly Sano arrives and tells them when they will go attack Shishio. Later that night, Kurojō is with Okina and the others, when Okina tells Kenshin to not worry about them as he goes to face off against Shishio and his men.
The next day, Kurojō and the others watch as Kenshin, Sano, and Saito head off to face Shishio and his men. Later when Shishio's men arrive, Kurojō and the others prepare to fight. Okina then explains the situation they are in and how they will handle it. Kurojō then jumps down and faces off against Iwanbo with Shira, Ochika, and Omasu. As they uses their weapons to attack Iwanbo, which they find out are useless. Iwanbo then manages to wound them easily. Even through they are wounded, Kurojō and the others get back up and continue to fight. After Henya and Kamatari are defeated, Kurojō prepares to fight Iwanbo with Kaoru and Misao's help, but Iwanbo just leaves. Suddenly Fuji arrives and destroys the inn, which Kurojō and the others save a falling Okina. As Fuji attacks again, Kurojō is shocked when Kenshin's master arrives. Kurojō then watches as Hiko faces and defeats Fuji. After everything is settled, Kurojō starts to clean up the area with the others.
After Shishio's defeat, everyone celebrates with a party that lasts for a month. When Cho suddenly arrives, Kurojō and the rest listens as he explains what happened to everyone. Days later, Kurojō and the rest bid Kenshin and his friends goodbye, as Kenshin's group heads home.

- In the everyday peace of daily life, he helps run the Aoi-Ya as a professional chef of Japanese cuisine, a repairman, assists Okina, and serves as Misao's caretaker.
