Namida wa shitte iru (涙は知っている, lit. 'I know the tears') is the second ending theme of the Rurouni Kenshin 1996 anime, performed by Mayo Suzukaze.
It was used from Episode 13 until Episode 27.

- Throughout this ending sequence, both characters are only represented with still images (that do not move and only slide/pan). Some of the backgrounds and effects (like the water) kinda move (sliding one opposing to one another), but there is no continous moving animation on them.
- This is the first song (of two) in the franchise to be performed by a voice actress who participated in the anime (Mayo Suzukaze is Kenshin Himura's seiyuu), the second one being Hiroko Kasahara (Sayo Amakusa's / Magdalia's seiyuu) who performed the ending song for the first half of the 2001 OVA Samurai X: Reflection, called "Itoshisa no Kate".
