Onizaki Gengo is an anime-only character and an assassin, part of the Onizaki Brothers (alongside his brother Tekkan), who was hired by Hiruma Gohei to kill Himura Kenshin.

Appearance[]

Onizaki Tekkan is a middle aged man with average height. He has long black straight hair, and does not have beard or mosutache. Gengo seems to be in good physical shape and has muscles. He wears a white costume.

Personality[]

Gengo is a really serious person (maybe due to his ocupation as an assassin) who seems to be cruel and heartless. Due to the fact that he (alonside his brother) perform assassinations for money, it seems he is a greedy person.

Abilities[]

Gengo is a practicioner of the Tsuchikumo Ryū, and uses a a pair of Nunchaku. He also uses what seems to be very thin nylon threads to strangle them from the neck or limbs and get the impression that they are levitating using some kind of magic.

Relationships[]

  • Onizaki Tekkan - It seems that Tekkan is Gengo's older brother (do to Tekkan's older appearance), but due to the fact that both of them are very serious and straightforard, not much of their actual degree of comradery is known.
  • Hiruma Gohei - Gohei hired Onizaki Gengo to kill Himura Kenshin as revenge for making him unable to use a sword.

Plot[]

Hiruma Gohei learned about the existence of the Onizaki Brothers due to a common aquiantance, and the four of them met on a forest to talk about a hit job.

History[]

Hiruma Gohei explained the Onizaki Brothers that he wanted Kenshin killed as revenge for all the previous times he (alongside the Kenshingumi) defeated him. The Brothers did not seem to care about the motives, and just wanted to recieve the payment for an assassination job.

As part of the plan, they made Gohei approach Myōjin Yahiko and get him to take Kenshin's Sakabatō to render him defenseless. When Yahiko went to the Onizaki Brother's hideout, they knocked him out and kidnap him. Then they sent a rescue message to Kamiya Kaoru, asking for Kenshin to come to a given place to a fight.

Kenshin (alongside Kaoru) arrived to the designated place, and they were attacked by both Onizaki Brothers. Meanwhile Yahiko managed to set himself free of his captivity, retrieved Kenshin's Sakabatō and ran to delieved it back to Kenshin. When Kenshin got his weapon back, he easily set free of Gengo's threads and defeated him with a single hit of the Sakabatō.

At the end of the incident, it is unknown what was the fate of the Onizaki Brothers.
