Rurouni Kenshin: Meiji Kenkaku Romantan (るろうに剣心 -明治剣客浪漫譚-) is a new anime adaptation based on the manga series of the same name created by Nobuhiro Watsuki. The anime will re-adapt the main manga and will be directed by Yamamoto Hideyo at studio Liden Films. It is currently being streamed and dubbed on Crunchyroll.
- The first season adapting the Tokyo Arc premiered from July 6 to December 15, 2023, on Fuji TV's NoitaminA programming block at 24:55 (effectively July 7 at 12:55) and ran for two consecutive cours.
- The second season subtitled Kyoto Disturbance (京都動乱) adapting the first half of the Kyōto Arc was announced at Jump Festa '24 and premiered from October 3, 2024, to March 20, 2025, on Fuji TV's NoitaminA programming block at 24:55 (effectively October 8 at 12:55) and ran for two consecutive cours.
- A third season that would adapt the second half of the Kyōto Arc was announced at AnimeJapan 2025. Its airdate is currently unknown.
