Sakuramaru is an adjutant of Shinko-ryū under the command of Isurugi Raijūta.
Appearance[]
Sakuramaru is a young man with short black hair that is parted to the sides and a small strand hanging in the front, thin eyebrows, and eyes that appear to always be shut.
Sakuramaru wears a straw hat with diamond shaped holes to see through, a brown headband, a white long sleeve shirt with a brown trim and symbol on his right chest, brown pants, white socks, and sands. Sakuramaru also carries two scabbards on his lower back.
Personality[]
Sakuramaru is a loyal member of the Shinko-ryū, and is willing to followed Raijūta's order to try to get Kenshin to join them or to kill him if they fail.

Abilities[]
Sakuramaru is a trained swordsman. Since he has two scabbards on his back, Sakuramaru uses two Katanas that can be connected to form a doubled-ended sword. Sakuramaru is capable of going toe-to-toe with Kenshin, but was no match for Kenshin.
History[]
Tokyo Arc[]
Sakuramaru is one of the four warriors dispatched to attack Himura Kenshin at the Kamiya Dōjō with an ultimatum: join them or die. Once they reach the Dōjō, Sakuramaru warns the others to not let their guard down since Raijūta has acknowledged Kenshin. The four rush into the dojo and manage to surround Kenshin. Sakuramaru explains why they are here, but Kenshin declines to join them. After Kenshin manages to take out two of his comrades, Sakuramaru decides to face Kenshin alone. Sakuramaru faces off against Kenshin, but is no match and is defeated.
