History[]
When Tsubame was younger, she heard Yahiko's dream and wished him good luck.
Restoration[]
Tsubame is working at the Akabeko, when she runs into Yahiko, who is asking for more food. Tsubame is then introduced to the rest of the group, once they return.
When Kenshin arrives, Tsubame is introduced to him and revealed that she is Yahiko's childhood friend. Tsubame asks were Yahiko he is living at now, which Kaoru says that Yahiko is staying at her dojo. Tsubame says that Yahiko is still chasing after his dream, which Yahiko tells her that he doesn't remember some stupid dream he had as a kid. As the group finishes their meal, Tsubame reveal who Tae is, as they pay for their meal. Tsubame and Tae bid them good bye, as the group leaves.
Days later, Yahiko is eating at the Akabeko and Tsubame joins him. Tsubame reveals that her father is having trouble with work, and says that her father was a stableman before the restoration. When the food is done, Yahiko tells Tsubame to eat which Tsubame comments about how Yahiko hasn't changed. Tsubame asks if Yahiko does remember his dream, which Yahiko replies that he doesn't and chows down the food. As Yahiko says that he hasn't learned a thing about swordsmanship and is just living at the Kamiya dojo for the time being, which Tsubame asks Yahiko about his house and mother. As Yahiko reveals what had happened to him and his family, which Tsubame starts to cry and apologize. As Tae gets angry at Yahiko for this, Yahiko manages to get her to stop crying. As the Akabeko is closing for a private even, Tsubame bids Yahiko goodbye. As Tsubame is cleaning up, Yahiko meets with Kanryu, who reveals what is happening to Tsubame and what could happen to her.
Days later after everything is settled, Tsubame brings some food to the cherry blossoms for Kenshin and his friends. As Kaoru tells Tsubame to join them, which Tsubame declines but Kaoru says that they already asked Tae.
