Trivia[]
- The prosecution of Christians within Japan during the Meiji Era within the Shimabara Arc can be perceived as a bit historically inaccurate, as Christianity was legalized by 1873 in Japan, allowing long hidden kakure kirishitans religious freedom to openly express and worship their faith. Despite this, the prosecution expressed within the arc can be acknowledged as ignorance based bigotry and discrimination, and long standing aggression against "foreign" spirituality other than national and ethnic religions after the Meiji government began its haibutsu kishaku Buddhism purges.
