Udō Jin-e using the Shin-no-Ippo technique

Shin no Ippo is an Isukumi technique within the Nikaidō Heihō style, that was mastered by Udō Jin-e.

Description[]

The Shin no Ippo is a technique that channels the user's chi into the eyes of their target. This completely hypnotizes their prey, whereupon the user can paralyze those they focus on with their gaze. The user can immobilize whosoever they look upon to the point of paralyzing their lungs, making them unable to breathe, causing them to suffocate to death.

There are three methods to breaking the technique:

  • It can be dispelled by the user.
  • The target's chi must have a similar strength to the user's own in order for them to break the technique.
  • The user is killed.

Variants[]

  • Grasp of the Demon: The shadow skill of the Shin no Ippo. The user uses the technique on themselves and places a hypnotic suggestion that convinces them into believing that they are invincible, which results in releasing their full potential.

Practitioners[]

  • Nikaidō (Founder) - The founder of the style who developed it and taught it to subsequent generations.
  • Udō Jin-e - A swordman who fought during the Bakumatsu, and survived into the new era. He became a mad assassin and later targeted Himura Kenshin in the hopes of killing him, and proving that Jin-e is the strongest swordsman in Japan.

Trivia[]

  • The Shin no Ippo is the most feared aspect of the Nikaidō Heihō style.
