Suzaku (朱雀) is a member of the Su Shen.
Appearance[]
Suzaku is a large man, with a bold head and sharp teeth. On Suzaku's forehead is the kanji for Suzaku and wings on each side of his head.
Personality[]
Suzaku may look like a big oaf but is intelligent enough to figure out that Aoshi's long sword is really two Kodachi, and chooses to fight Aoshi with his twin swords. Suzaku is capable of replicating the techniques of his opponents as he is facing them. Suzaku finds enjoyment in the expression his opponent makes when he kills them with their own techniques. Suzaku finds this so entertaining that he this is the reason that he can't stop fighting.

- Woo Heishin - Seiryu is one of Woo Heishin's bodyguards and protects him from all threats.
- Su Shen - Suzaku is a member of the Su Shen, a group of four that act as Woo Heishin's bodyguards.
Abilities[]
Suzaku specializes in replicating the techniques of his opponents as he faces them, which comes in handy against Shinomori Aoshi. He is even able to improve these techniques, or so he thinks, which helps him knock away Aoshi's twin Kodachi during their battle, leaving him unarmed and apparently defenseless to any subsequent attacks he throws toward him.
Suzaku is a capable fighter, as he was able to jump high in the air with his large body and was even able to preform Aoshi's techniques faster then Aoshi was able to.
Suzaku is equipped with the Vermillion Bird Twin Swords, a pair of short sword that has a pair of wings that act as the guard and a tassel at the end of each sword.
History[]
Suzaku arrives at the island that Enishi and Kaoru are at, with his boss (Woo Heishin) and the rest of the Su Shen. Suzaku spends most of his time on the island guarding his boss with the rest of the Su Shen.
Days later when Kenshin and the rest arrive on the island, Heishin and the Su shen are force to leave by the Enishi instead of saying to fight. As they are leaving, the Su shen wonder why they are leave which Heishin says that the Su shen won't be able to defeat the current Enishi. Heishin also says that the only way off the island is through the cove that Kenshin's group is at, and that they will show Enishi their gratitude for give him the organization by defeating his enemy which the Su Shen are glad to hear.
Once they arrive at the cove, the Su Shen smile when Heishin comments about how they will be fight them. When Heishin feels that he has been insulted by Kenshin's friends, Heishin orders the Su Shen to attack. The Su Shen jump high in the air and land to face their respected targets. Suzaku pulls out his Vermillion Bird Twin Swords and attacks Aoshi, who blocks the attack. Suzaku tells Aoshi to draw his sword since he already figure that out, which Aoshi does and attack but Suzaku was able to copy the attack and block Aoshi's attack.

Suzaku introduces himself and proclaims what he specializes in. The two back away from each other, which Aoshi attacks but counter the attack with the same attack. The two continue to clash, which Aoshi prepares to use his secret technique but Suzaku was able to preform it fast. Suzaku then comments about how he is better then Aoshi and talks about how those that mimic the original are stronger then the original. Suzaku continues to attack again, However Aoshi knows perfectly well the weaknesses and openings of each of his techniques and as Suzaku attacks him using these copied moves, Aoshi kicks him right in the face, knocking him back, to his complete and utter surprise. Suzaku claims he just got caught off guard and continues to attack, but Aoshi catches and breaks his sword with his left hand, saying that he knows the exact path of the sword since its his own technique. He tells Suzaku that he is not worth killing, instead leaving him defeated and humiliated.
After the fighting is over, Suzaku along with the rest are arrested by the police.
