Takatsuki Gentatsu (高槻厳達) is one of the characters in the Rurouni Kenshin: Requiem for the Ishin Patriots movie, and the older brother of Takatsuki Toki.

Gentatsu is a young man with long black hair that is tied in a topknot, and long thin eyebrows.

Gentatsu is a trained swordsman, but was no match for a swordsman of Battosai's calibur.
History[]
He is a veteran samurai who fought valiantly for the Tokugawa Shogunate under the Aizu clan during the Meiji restoration, acting as one of the commanders for their saboteur runs and assassinations. Gentatsu was Shigure's close friend and comrade, and possessed a keen sense of insight which led to a disagreement involving an attack locations. During a surprise attack on a crucial negotiation by the forces of the Isshin Shishi, Gentatsu and Shigure split their team in two leading to his fate when Gentatsu was confronted by the Hitokiri Battosai. Gentatsu faces off against Battosai, but is killed by the battosai.
